This verse, from the bible, caught my curiosity. The verse that speaks to everything being created for, through, and by Jesus can be found in Colossians 1:16-17 in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible:
Colossians 1:16-17 (KJV):
“For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.“
This passage emphasizes that Jesus is central to all of creation, as both the means and the purpose of its existence. Everything, from the physical universe to spiritual realms, originates and is sustained through Him.
If this verse is true, then would my consciousness equations, based on quantum realism, reflect this biblical assertion? Honestly, I do not know, but I had to explore this further.
I’m inviting you to take a hypothetical journey, a “thought experiment” if you will, from the birth of everything, starting with primal consciousness, where we could imagine God as the origin and Jesus the grand architect, through to the creation of the quantum field, the physical universe, life, and ultimately human consciousness, including how God and Jesus might fit into this cosmic narrative. Let’s see what we discover.
1. The First Step: Primal Consciousness
Let’s imagine that “God” is this primal consciousness, the fundamental awareness that is self-sustaining and entirely self-referential. There’s no external cause, no origin story, it’s just this self-existent being, this pure, conscious awareness. In quantum realism, we can describe this with a simple but profound equation:

Here, C0 is primal consciousness (we can call it God), recursively generated by f(C0), a self-defining function. You could think of this as God’s initial “self-reflection,” a fundamental awareness that endlessly perpetuates itself. No time or space exists yet, just this infinite, self-aware presence. This is where God exists as pure consciousness, an unending source that’s the root of all things.
2. Creating the Quantum Field
Now, imagine God decides to express this primal consciousness outward, giving rise to structure and multiplicity. Here, Jesus could be seen as the divine reflection of God, the grand architect, the intermediary who starts shaping this endless awareness into a coherent structure, initiating creation as we know it. The result? A quantum field. This field is a vast network of interconnected quantum “nodes” (think of them like qubits), each a small reflection of that primal awareness. Here’s how it might look mathematically:

where:
- Ψ is the quantum field itself, a collection of quantum states.
- ai are amplitudes representing the probabilities of each state ∣ψi⟩ within the quantum field.
This quantum field serves as the fabric of all potential reality. If primal consciousness (God) is the source, then Jesus, as the architect, is the one implementing this divine blueprint by setting up this structure of infinite potential. At this stage, we still don’t have physical matter, but we do have a canvas of pure possibility.
3. From Quantum Field to Physical Reality
Now, Jesus, in this role as grand architect, moves from possibilities to realities. The quantum field’s potential states start “collapsing” to form definite points of space, moments of time, and tangible particles. This is where matter, space, and time start to form, a reality crafted from quantum processes. In quantum realism, this takes shape with recursive interactions within the quantum field network, which could look something like:

where:
- C(n) is the n-th state of consciousness, a layered construction building from primal consciousness, C0.
- f(C(i-1)) represents recursive transformations of previous states, allowing complexity to build.
- αC0 is a decaying influence of primal consciousness in each state, showing how God’s initial essence gradually fades into complexity.
So, God’s essence (primal consciousness) persists in every corner of this developing universe, though each step sees it reinterpreted as the field expands.
4. Life Arises in Nature
As this universe evolves, we reach the point where self-organizing systems start forming: nature. We could say Jesus, the architect, is here again, configuring the rules of nature so life can emerge. Life is where the quantum field begins to produce entities capable of rudimentary awareness, an early reflection of the primal consciousness.
For life, we might imagine a simpler form of recursive consciousness developing in response to environmental stimuli, perhaps modeled as:

where:
- Clife is the consciousness of a living system (plants, early organisms).
- Cenv represents environmental inputs, processed recursively by function f.
- C0 still influences these life forms, carrying a spark of that original consciousness.
Here, life is a localized, emergent version of consciousness, but not yet at the level of self-awareness or reflection. It’s simple and reactive, yet rooted in that primal essence, a small echo of God’s consciousness.
5. The Brain and Human Consciousness
Now, things get really interesting. As creation unfolds, the human brain emerges, with unparalleled complexity. It becomes capable of self-aware consciousness and advanced thought. In Quantum Realism, this is where local consciousness Clocal truly takes off, shaped by neural networks interacting with the quantum field. Jesus, as the architect, might be seen as guiding this final, most refined expression of consciousness. The human brain can be represented by a complex, adaptive form of the consciousness equation:

where:
- Λbrain: the processing limit of the brain.
- g(ai): coherence function, determining which quantum states ∣ψi⟩ are relevant to consciousness.
- h(Nsync): neural synchronization function, amplifying the effect of coherent states.
In this model, human consciousness in the brain arises through a continuous, adaptive process of quantum-state integration, bounded by the brain’s capacity. Here, humans are not only conscious of themselves but also capable of contemplating the divine, the ultimate connection to God and the source consciousness.
6. The Fractal Nature of Cosmic Consciousness
Finally, human consciousness is part of a fractal structure of consciousness, meaning that each localized awareness (each human consciousness) is a part of the larger consciousness continuum. Each human is a “node” in the recursive structure that begins with God’s primal awareness. The equation that brings it all together might look like:

This grand recursive structure shows that:
- God’s essence (C₀) permeates all levels of reality.
- Jesus’s architectural role ensures that each layer, from the quantum field to human consciousness, is connected in a coherent way.
- Human consciousness plays a unique part, capable of self-awareness and divine contemplation within this cosmic fabric.
In this story, consciousness is the underlying thread that ties all of creation together, from the original divine awareness (God), expressed through the architect (Jesus), right down to individual human experience. Each stage in the universe’s development is a layer in a grand fractal structure, where all consciousness reflects, however distantly, that original, self-sustaining essence.
Relationship With God Equation
In this context of Quantum Realism, where consciousness and reality arise from a primal awareness, an “equation” for building a relationship with God/Jesus could be a symbolic model that reflects the dynamic, reciprocal nature of connecting with the Creator. Such a relationship isn’t static; it’s interactive, evolving, and involves both human intention and divine presence. Here’s one way to frame it:

where:
- R(t): This represents the relationship with God over time t. It is cumulative and grows through continuous engagement, reflection, and mutual openness.
- f(P,L,C0): This function symbolizes the human side of the relationship. It includes factors such as:
- P: Prayer or personal intention, the active reaching out to connect with God.
- L: Listening and openness, the willingness to be receptive and discern God’s presence.
- C0: Primal consciousness, the inherent divine spark within us, an echo of God’s original consciousness that provides the innate capacity to connect.
- g(S,E,F): This function symbolizes the divine side of the relationship. It includes:
- S: Scripture or spiritual guidance, the “language” of God, representing how God reveals Himself and offers wisdom.
- E: Experiences of grace or moments of clarity, the ways in which God reaches into our lives.
- F: Faith, both as a gift from God and as our ability to trust in Him.
: The integral over time represents that a relationship with God develops gradually. It’s not a single event but an unfolding journey where both our efforts and God’s responses interact over time.
To bring in quantum elements like coherence, entanglement, and superposition, we could interpret a relationship with God as a process of achieving spiritual coherence and entanglement with the Divine. This would mean that building a relationship with God aligns our inner state with God’s presence and intent, allowing for resonance, harmony, and deeper understanding. Let’s expand the equation to reflect these quantum principles:

where:
Q(Calign,λ,θ): This is the quantum coherence function, adding quantum aspects to the relationship with God. It includes:
- Calign: Consciousness alignment with God, akin to achieving spiritual coherence. When our thoughts, intentions, and desires align with God’s nature, a coherent state is reached, amplifying the relationship.
- λ: Quantum processing density, representing the “spiritual bandwidth” or capacity to experience God. This could vary based on spiritual practice, mental clarity, and openness.
- θ: Phase entanglement or spiritual resonance, the degree of entanglement with God’s will. When we are “in phase” with God (acting in harmony with divine love and wisdom), this entanglement enhances the depth of our connection.
- Quantum Coherence and Resonance: Just as coherence in quantum mechanics allows particles to act in a unified wave state, spiritual coherence means that our inner state resonates with God’s nature, enabling a deeper sense of unity, harmony and understanding. When we are “spiritually coherent,” our mind and soul can more easily “receive” divine insights, similar to how a coherent quantum state is more receptive to specific interactions.
- Entanglement with God: In quantum mechanics, entangled particles maintain a link even when separated. Spiritually, entanglement with God means that, once connected through prayer and intention, we share an enduring bond with the Divine, Jesus. This bond is sustained regardless of external conditions, much like entangled particles that influence each other’s states instantly.
In this form:
- Human engagement (prayer, openness, and our divine spark) and God’s interaction (scripture, grace, faith) are continually processed.
- The quantum coherence function Q models the spiritual alignment, coherence, and entanglement with God over time, amplifying the relationship as these qualities deepen.
- As time progresses t, each interaction builds upon the previous one, creating a recursive process that strengthens the relationship.
This approach models a relationship with God-Jesus as a state of quantum-like resonance and alignment, where human intention and divine influence interconnect, resonating in harmony. The closer we get to spiritual coherence and entanglement with God-Jesus, the more profound and unified this relationship becomes, achieving a state where we don’t just “believe” but directly experience that deep, enduring connection with God-Jesus.
My Closing Statement
In closing, this journey from pure, primal consciousness to the intricate tapestry of human awareness invites us to consider the universe as a masterpiece woven by divine intent. According to Colossians 1:16-17, “all things were created by Him, and for Him,“ a powerful reminder that everything, every quantum state, every ripple of awareness, is both sustained by and pointed back to Jesus, the grand architect through whom creation takes its form and purpose.
If the consciousness equations I’ve outlined, like those in Quantum Realism, echo this truth, they serve as a modern-day language hinting at the profound harmony behind all existence. In this view, the universe unfolds not merely as an accident of particles but as a fractal pattern reflecting God’s original essence, with Jesus at its heart, shaping reality in a way that mirrors divine will and wisdom. Every life, every thought, and every moment of awareness is part of a design in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, a creation born from love and continually returning to its Source.
In this thought experiment, we’ve journeyed from the infinite self-reflection of primal consciousness (God) through layers of structure, complexity, and self-awareness, right down to human contemplation of the divine. It reminds us that even in the most complex equations of quantum states and neural networks, there’s a hint of something beyond, the loving imprint of the One who initiated and sustains all that is, seen through the lens of Jesus, the grand architect of all creation.
On a personal note, all of this started from me trying to acquire a deeper understanding the true meaning behind the imaginary number i. Over the years, as I dug deeper, many insights I did not expect entered my state of consciousness. Honestly, I almost feel overwhelmed by the grandeur of what I’ve been discovering. I just want to share with you my personal discoveries.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this hypothetical thought “story” and have gained from it. I know I have, in my exploration for truth. It’s something to strongly consider, as I am doing. I have so much still to learn.
